How to Find An Insurance Agent
Many unique needs. One Price & Ramey.
Finding an insurance agent you trust is a critical piece of ensuring you have the coverage you need. But with so many options out there, how do you know which agent is right for you and your unique needs?
1. Ask someone you trust.
A referral from someone you trust is a great place to start. Ask your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who they have used in the past. Who made things simple for them to understand? Who made filing a claim easy? Who did they trust? Who gave them good advice and guidance?
2. Do your research
Search for agents in your area, both captive and independent. See what insurance lines they offer and read their online reviews.
3 Interview Agents
Call agents at a few of the agencies you found by referral and research and talk to them.
4. Compare Quotes
After deciding what coverage you need, ask for quotes from at least 2 agencies. Compare and contrast these for cost and coverage.
5. Follow Your Gut
Don’t just purchase the cheapest option! Have your agent explain your policy to you thoroughly to make sure you understand it. More than anything, go with the agent that took the time to make sure you were comfortable with your decision, understood your policy, and are ready to make the purchase. You are worth more than just a sale to an agent–you are building a relationship with this agency to cover you when the unexpected arises, your best interests must come first.
You’ve got this! Take your time and ask for advice and help along the way. Start by talking with an agent in your area today with Price & Ramey Insurance here.
