Price & Ramey received my family’s business through an acquisition. In the last 12 to 18 months we all have found other insurance providers. This company has been incredibly difficult to work with and has screwed up several of our policies. I do not have confidence in their capabilities nor are they professional.

I had good service in the beginning. When I got divorced they raised my rates by almost $1,200 for being single. Then my agent was changed and I have not had good communication or service since. When I was engaged to remarry the new agent Conor told me that it don’t really change my rate by being married even though it increased by $1,200 for becoming single. Then I had a wreck 100% not at fault and the other party took full responsibility. However this was exactly what Conor told me when my rates went up yet again. “I understand the point you have made about wrecks not being your fault and that you don’t believe you should pay for that. But any claim made regardless of fault is a hit on your license. At fault causes bigger changes than not at fault but regardless of fault a policy is liable to increase.” I have a commercial policy with a different company because they would not write commercial policies for my big truck and when I ask Conor about trying different companies due to the rates going up over marital status, non fault wrecks and such he simply told me he had no better option and I should just try the company that has my commercial account. This is his exact word “Anything that would work was upwards of 9/10 thousand a year which makes no sense to move at that point. Unfortunately Micheal I haven’t got anything for you right now. I would suggest trying State Farm where you have your commercial policy and see if they will take it.” Yet in an earlier conversation Conor had advised me “State Farm is a poor rated company, they don’t pay their claims, and they are struggling financially. You should consider getting that policy moved if you can.” But is now telling me I should move everything there. It has been extremely frustrating to say the least.

Avoid this insurance company at all costs.
I've had this insurance for over 10 years and everything's fine until you have a problem and need them.
Earlier this year my pizza shop had the power turned off while the county worked on power lines. I lost every bit of refrigerated food I had not once, but twice. It took them 2 months to get anything done.
Then this hurricane and the flooding this past week with Helene. Roof/window leaked. Basement is 4 foot underground. Water flooded and came in through the bottom of the wall.
Called Wednesday before a all the damage happened in Newport and North Carolina. BEFORE. I flooded due to the volume of rain. No one got back with me at the insurance company until the following Monday on the 30th of September. The damage happened on the 25th. So, already a week after JUST TO TALK TO AN AJUSTER. I was then called about them finally coming out today October the 7th and got into an argument with the man on the phone about my house is 2 stories. They tried telling me I live in a one story house. No, it's 2 stories. The key word about my basement flooding is ... "The basement"
Told me I'm not covered for any of the damage from the flood. And I can clean it up myself.
Neat. I'm going to farmers insurance.
Avoid Price and Ramey insurance. They do not care about you. They do not care about contacting you. They will push your phonecall off and transfer you until everyone's gone home for the weekend or day. They will tell you they will call you back. It will be days or weeks. God forbid you have them for your car insurance and you have an accident and need to get something done ASAP. They will not care.

When we moved here, everyone we spoke to had a preference for specific insurance companies for specific insurance categories. We wanted one source for all of our insurance need (home, auto, RV). We selected an Independent Agency that dealt with all of the insurance companies that fit our needs (as well as others with which we were not familiar). Paula Moody at Price & Ramey put together a package that met all of our needs, at a price point well within our budget.
In establishing our new residency in TN, we encountered some unexpected legal and regulatory issues that were making our transition difficult. When we mentioned these issues to Ms. Moody, she immediately produced nearly all the documentation that was required to resolve them.
